Duration: 1 day (approx. 5 hours)
Certification: GTSS Certificate of Completion (not PHECC accredited)
Who it’s for: General staff, volunteers, or anyone looking for an introduction to First Aid. Perfect for schools, small businesses, or personal safety.
What you’ll learn:
- Scene safety & casualty approach
- Primary survey (responsiveness, breathing, circulation)
- CPR awareness (non-certified)
- Choking response
- Managing bleeding, burns, sprains & minor injuries
⚠️ Note: This course does not qualify learners as workplace first aiders under HSA regulations.

Cardiac First Response – Community (CFR-C) (PHECC Certified)
Duration: 4–5 hours
Certification: PHECC CFR Community Card (valid 2 years)

What you’ll learn (PHECC modules):
- CPR for adults, children & infants.
- Choking, cardiac arrest, stroke, Aspirin administration, post-resuscitation care.

- Scene safety, calling 112/999, effective handovers, confidentiality, Good Samaritan law awareness.

Duration: 3 days (18–24 hours)
Certification: PHECC FAR Certificate (valid 2 years)

What you’ll learn:
- Scene management & casualty assessment (primary & secondary survey).
- CPR & AED for adults, children & infants.
- Management of choking, bleeding, burns, fractures, head & eye injuries.
- Responding to medical emergencies (asthma, diabetes, seizures, heart attack, stroke, etc.)
- Safe moving of casualties & post-incident reporting.
👉 The recognised standard for workplace First Aid in Ireland.
Refresher First Aid Responder (FAR Refresher) (PHECC Certified)
Duration: 2 days (12 hours)
Certification: PHECC FAR Refresher Certificate (valid 2 years)
Who it’s for: Existing First Aid Responders – must recertify within 2 years to remain valid.

- Revision of all FAR modules
